Karen Rogers has an FYI for you on a local Irish pub that goes all out for the holiday.

PHILADELPHIA -- In this week's FYI Philly, Karen Rogers reports on a local Irish pub that goes all out for the holiday.

Austin Mcgrath, Owner of The Plough and the Stars said, "Halloween is a very old festival probably started in Ireland about a thousand years ago."

Halloween was originally a celebration of the fall harvest. At the Plough and the Stars in Old City, they stick to the holiday's roots.

A favorite of the pub is serving, the Guinness casserole.

Its big chunks of beef braised in Guinness beer with carrots, onions and mashed potatoes.

Home cooking, home style sitting by a fire, what else do you want?

If you want your fall bounty served up in a glass, there's the Cozy Cider with Captain Morgan spiced rum.

Kyra Harris, a bartender says, "Oh you can see the steam coming out. It's hot and yes it's wonderful."

Since pumpkin is the official flavor of the season, there's a Pumpkin Spice Latte Martini with coffee, Kahlua and rum.

"It's a lovely rich creamy one and it's fantastic with dessert," said Kyra.

And, if you want to drink your dessert, there's the Hot Apple Pie -- made with Tuaca and hot apple cider.

Kyra says, "You float the cream to the top of the glass. We're all set for fall and it will definitely keep you warm."
