Hands-on, eco-friendly project to celebrate Earth Day
The Salvation Army is working with children in kindergarten through 7th grade

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia is working with children in kindergarten through 7th grade for a hands-on, eco-friendly project to celebrate Earth Day.

Kids at the center in East Falls learned how to take care of trees with the help of staff members from the Salvation Army.

The youngsters will also take potted seeds home with them Friday night as a reminder of the importance of our environment.
