Honored for Valor

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Several police officers who were shot and wounded in the line of duty were among the dozens honored Wednesday night at the Fraternal Order of Police in Northeast Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police Sergeant Sylvia Young and Philadelphia police officer Jessie Hartnett were each given Valor awards.

Both were ambushed in separate shootings last year while sitting in their patrol cars.
