K9 lap of luxury

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police K9's have a new and very comfortable place to rest.

All dogs in the unit received an orthopedic bed Tuesday from locally based manufacturer, Big Barker.

Now the K9's can sleep on their therapeutic mattress after a hard day's work.

The special bedding can relieve the dogs' tired joints and help prevent disease as they get older.

Commissioner Richard Ross was on hand to thank Big Barker for the donation.
