MOORESTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Some police K9's will have an extra layer of protection, thanks to students at a school in Moorestown New Jersey.
Several of the students started a charity called "Kevlar for Kanines", which raised nearly five thousand dollars.
Thursday they presented a symbolic check to the Camden and Pennsauken police units.
Each kevlar vest costs about 11-hundred dollars.
For their efforts, the students were treated to a display of what these amazing dogs can do.
