Lion and Tiger, Oh My!

JACKSON, N.J. (WPVI) -- You've heard the phrase "lions and tigers and bears, oh my!"

A new litter at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, Ocean County is two-thirds of the way there.

The cubs were born within the same week, but both their mothers failed to care for them.

So now the park has stepped in to raise the lion and the tiger as one litter, for the very first time.

The two species would typically never meet in the wild, but raising them together helps develop their socialization skills.

Now they play, eat, snuggle and even growl as a pair.

Vets at Six Flags say both cubs are healthy, and will be named at a later date.
