PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One local woman is proof positive that you are never too old to be a bridesmaid.

Local bride, Christine Quinn, and her husband Patrick tied the knot at the Please Touch Museum on May 2nd.

When Christine was planning her wedding, she asked her lifelong friend to be one of her bridesmaids.

That woman was 89-year-old Betty Govern - better known to Christine as her grandmom, Nana Betty.

Nana Betty stunned in her bridesmaid dress, with bouquet in hand and the best attitude of all, telling the bride: "You're only as old as you feel and I feel young today!"

She considers Nana one of her best friends and says everyone just loves her - including the camera!

Julie Melton, the wedding's photographer and owner of Sweetwater Portraits in Philadelphia, tells Action News that Nana Betty is quite a woman with a heartwarming smile.

The photos from the wedding have gone viral and are being shared all over social media.
