Local girls helping girls a world away

MERION STATION, Pa. (WPVI) -- It was the healing power of music at Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station Friday night.

For the past several years, the ladies of Merion Mercy have been helping to sponsor the construction and maintenance of girls' schools in Cambodia and Southern Sudan.

The fundraiser will help build a girl's school in Africa.
