Mann Center student workshop

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Elementary school students in West Philadelphia enjoyed a morning of storytelling and singing.

Tuesday morning educators presented the story of the Firebird to kids at the Global Leadership Academy Charter.

The adults spent the last 12 weeks working with the Mann Center.

They attended workshops in the performing arts field developing creative reading and writing skills.

They also explored Russian and South African culture.
