M.C.S.C. 8th annual Police luncheon

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Young people took a moment Thursday to thank Philadelphia Police officers.

Students at the Mathematics Civics and Sciences Charter School held its 8th annual luncheon to honor the men and women on the force.

The school treated the officers to lunch and students in the choir also performed.

The luncheon was created out of concern for violence against police officers.

Its also a way to thank the officers for keeping citizens safe especially children.
