NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The children of Philadelphia servicemen and women are going to school the same way their parents serve our nation - well supplied and ready.
On Saturday, 'Operation Homefront' set up shop at the Southampton Amory in Northeast Philadelphia.
Children of Army National Guard troops were provided with all of the essentials for heading back to class this September and it was all free.
The mostly volunteer organization has been providing financial and other assistance to military families since 2002.
