Passover meals for the needy

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Congregation Beth Solomon in Northeast Philadelphia handed out hundreds of bags of free Passover meals Wednesday night.

This is a long-standing tradition at the synagogue, but this year took on added meaning.

Congregation Beth Solomon was targeted by vandals several times in recent months.

In January, vandals defaced a mikvah, and last summer, someone stole a menorah from the synagogue.

Organizers say, they're fighting hate, through giving.
