ELKINS PARK, Pa. (WPVI) -- Passover official begins at sunset Friday, but some local seniors started the celebration early Thursday.

They gathered for a pre-holiday Seder at Klein Life in Elkins Park.

A Rabbi and Cantor from Old York Road Temple Beth AM led the day's prayers.

Passover is an 8 day jewish festival that commemorates the story of Exodus when the Israelites were set free from slavery in Egypt.
