Philly native pays tribute to jazz singer at South Restaurant

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A group of contemporary, heavyweight jazz artists performed a tribute Thursday to vocal legend Nancy Wilson in Philadelphia.

The event took place at South Restaurant along North Broad Street where Lizz Hogue, the singer of the hit single "Dream Love," performed the music of one of America's most iconic jazz singer.

There was also a musical reunion between Hogue and Gerald Veasley, who are both natives of Philadelphia.

Hogue has performed with such greats as Grover Washington Jr., Norman Connors and Jean Carne.
