Pool season opens in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- In Trenton, New Jersey, youngsters were making quite a splash Wednesday now that the city's pools are officially open.

This was the scene at Cooper Pool off union street, it recently underwent a major renovation, and these campers couldn't wait to get in the water, the smallest swimmers proudly wearing their

yellow life jackets.

Trenton mayor Eric Jackson also paid a special visit here encouraging the kids to have fun and be safe.

Trenton city pools officially opened on July first.
