VACAVILLE, Calif. -- The story of a rescued goat and his best friend is proving the power of friendship.

"Mr. G" lived in neglect for years in Southern California with a burro named "Jelly Bean." Mr. G was rescued, but became extremely depressed.

Staff at "Animal Place" in Vacaville figured he must be missing his friend Jelly Bean, so they reunited the two animals.

For six days, the two animals were separated and during that time, "Mr. G" refused to move or eat. Take a look at what happens in this video below, provided by Animal Place.

The animal sanctuary says neither animal will be put up for adoption, but will live out the rest of their lives together at the sanctuary.
