"Shop Haddonfield" reward program

HADDONFIELD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Homeowners in one South Jersey town are getting a homeowners tax discount when they shop locally.

Officials in Haddonfield met Monday to launch the "Shop Haddonfield" reward program.

The plan allows residents to get a credit every time they buy something in Haddonfield.

That credit will be deducted from the annual homeowners tax.

20 businesses, 790 homeowners and 24 renters have already registered.
