Solar powered gardening in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society teamed up with the Philadelphia School District to provide solar power to a local high school Tuesday day.

The Action Cam was at Strawberry Mansion High School where officials and city leaders flipped the switch on new solar panels.

Those panels will power the greenhouse at the high school's community gardens.

The gardens give students and neighbors access to fresh produce.

The solar panels will power greenhouse heaters, fans, and safety lights.
