CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A center city high school is celebrating, after its students received a special grant, for their work on solar power.
A check for 99 thousand dollars was presented to the Philadelphia Inquiry School.
Students with the school's Science Leadership Academy recently developed a solar powered water purification program.
Wednesday they were singled out by the State Farm company, which hands out various grants to student-led learning projects every year.
The Philadelphia Inquiry school was one of 22 organizations selected across the U.S.
