Welcoming Week called a success
Philadelphia has been officially welcoming and recognizing the contributions of immigrants in the city

PHILADELPHIA CITY HALL (WPVI) -- For the past 10 days Philadelphia has been officially welcoming and recognizing the contributions of immigrants in the city, thru various cultural festivals and events.

On this final day of "welcoming week", Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney called it a big success.

Here in the City Hall reception room, the mayor and other local officials also recognized several immigrant business owners.

Welcoming week is held every September, to develop a deeper appreciation for the city's diversity.
