Jaxon Burton takes over Eagles Training Camp
Jaxon Burton takes over Eagles Training Camp. Ducis Rodgers reports during Action News at 6 p.m. on August 2, 2017.

As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for the 2017 season, a pint-sized star stole the show at Training Camp on Wednesday.

Tight end Trey Burton has been fortunate to have his wife and children with him during camp.

His 2-1/2 year old Jaxon has become a fixture and the players absolutely love him.

Last week, he even took part in some tackling drills.

Trey is a proud papa and he's thankful for his teammates.

"Pretty cool. You have people like Jordan Matthews, Carson, and Ertz, who take time out of the day, there are a thousand other things, a thousand other people who are reaching out, trying to get something from them, but they just want to spend time with my kids. My kids adore them, they love them. That's all my kids want to do, be out here at the football practice," Trey Burton said.

"To be able to see how their kids are able to come out here and have that type of fun, bring that type of joy after hard practices, there's nothing like it," Matthews said.

6abc hired Jaxon as an Action News sports reporter for the day.

With microphone in hand, Jaxon got the exclusive with Jordan Matthews.

"How old are you, Jordan?" Jaxon asked.

"I just turned 25. My birthday is in July," Matthews responded.

"I'm 2," Jaxon replied.

"Can I ask you a question?" Matthews asked.

"Yeah," Jaxon answered.

"Who's your favorite player?" Matthews asked.

"My daddy," Jaxon said.

Jaxon then joined in an Eagles chant!

He may just be the lucky charm the team has been looking for.
