Colin Kaepernick set to appear on the cover of Time Magazine

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will appear on the upcoming cover of Time Magazine.

Kaepernick has been protesting police brutality as well as the treatment of minorities in the United States by kneeling during the national anthem before games.

The magazine spoke with several other athletes, including Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, who took part in his own protest by raising his fist during the anthem in Monday night's game.

Jenkins explained what the protests mean for him, and said that negative reactions to the protests come from people's unwillingness to digest the hard truth.
