Eagles, Wentz hoping to give Bradford his 1st loss of season

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has no regrets trading Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks ago, even though Bradford is returning to Philadelphia Sunday with a perfect record and the highest completion percentage in the NFL.

"It's a win-win for both teams. I feel like Sam, given this opportunity, he's excelled, he's done well, he went to a fabulous football team," Pederson said.

"It's been a whirlwind of emotions. I've probably felt a little bit of everything. I think the good news about the trade was that it happened so fast," Bradford said.

The same can be said about the rise of Carson Wentz.

The Eagles rookie doesn't want to get caught up in any quarterback comparison.

"I don't get caught up in that at all. It's the Vikings versus the Eagles. They're coming in here and it will be a good one," Wentz said.

"I'm not going to put in any added pressure on Carson. We'll just let him play," Pederson said.

If the Eagles are going to send Bradford back to Minnesota with his first loss, they have to fix the mistakes.

The Eagles have the most penalties in team history to start a season and the offense did not score a touchdown last week.

Wentz says he's his toughest critic.

"We got to be better. We got to be more disciplined. We're setting records with penalties and stuff like that, that's never good," Wentz said.

"I could tell early on he wanted to be great, that he was committed. I'm not surprised at all by the way he's played this year," Bradford said.

While the trade accelerated Wentz's development, the rookie is still desperate to play better in the final minutes of games, maybe he can use some advice Bradford gave him come Sunday.
