Philadelphia Eagles kicker Cody Parkey will reportedly be placed on injured reserve putting him out for the season.

ESPN and other reports say the Eagles will sign kicker Caleb Sturgis to take his place. Sturgis last played with the Miami Dolphins.

All Chip Kelly would say earlier in the day, before the reports came out, was that Parkey suffered a leg injury before the Jets game.

"Cody got hurt in pregame a little bit yesterday, so just precautionary measures. He did play in the game for us and kicked well when he was in the game but I haven't gotten anything today in terms of in-for-treatment and what's going on with him. We'll see," Kelly said.

A few of Parkey's kickoffs yesterday fell short of the endzone, including one that went out of bounds.
