Fans party on the Parkway during NFL draft: Walter Perez reports during Action News at 11 p.m. on April 27.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The crowd thinned out once the Eagles made their pick, but before that, everyone had a great time.

It's kind of unusual to walk around the Ben Franklin Parkway and see people wearing anything but an Eagles jersey.

Don't get me wrong, Eagles fans outnumber everyone else, at least ten to one.

But the crowd here for the NFL Draft is a mix of all kinds of folks, including the truly unusual Philadelphia-native Cowboy fan.

William Ervin of West Oak Lane is a Dallas fan, "Yes sir I was born. I came out of the womb with a star on my head," he said.

Before he started talking about Super Bowl championships we moved onto the case carrying the actual Vince Lombardi Trophy that will be awarded to someone next February.

As people lined up to take photos, the conversation, once again, turned to the Eagles and the Super Bowl.

Andrew Widmeier of Hatfield, New Jersey said, "I remember crying..."

And that takes us to the mini-NFL Hall of Fame tent displaying rings from every Super Bowl.

And there it is, February 6, 2005 - Jacksonville, Florida!

Ryan Cantwell of Warrington said it still hurts. It's been over ten years, but it still hurts," said Cantwell after seeing the Super Bowl 39 ring.

Paul Lundholm of Barrington, New Jersey said, "Just at the end, Tom Brady was Tom Brady."

Lundholm says he's not bitter, "It's hard to get to the Super Bowl."

And that is why we're here, and why we love football.

As every team hopefully chooses the young men who will help lead their organization to glory.

Bob Clarke of Folsom, Pennsylvania said, "We'll be there. This will be our year."
