WARRINGTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say several students became ill during a cross country event in Warrington, Pennsylvania Saturday morning.
Several medics were called out to the high school around 11:00 a.m. after students reported feeling ill at the Cross Country Invitational Tournament at Central Bucks South.
They were suffering from heat-related injuries.
Officials say at least 10 patients were evaluated and 8 were taken to area hospitals.
The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The event was shut down by the Central Bucks East cross country coach after students reported feeling sick.
