PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eagles running back LeSean McCoy stopped by the 6abc studios on Thursday to talk about the 2014 Eagles, chasing greatness, and this weekend's special charity game.

We asked McCoy, "Is this team right now a Super Bowl contender?"

McCoy responded, "I think so. I think so. We're young. We're explosive and we're hungry."

McCoy pointed to Eagles quarterback Nick Foles as sign of the future.

"You look at Nick Foles. The type of numbers he put up. The hard work. Now, there's no quarterback controversy. He is the guy," McCoy said.

And McCoy is the man in the backfield.

The Eagles running back led the NFL in rushing last year, but he's still not satisfied

Heading into his 6th season, McCoy is as competitive as ever.

He believes he's the best running back in the game.

"I'm chasing greatness. Every day, I'm finding motivation to be the best. That's just how I was raised," McCoy said.

McCoy admits he's not perfect.

"I'm always trying to get better. If I told you I didn't have any flaws I would be lying. The best thing about it is how I can I get better?" McCoy said.

But football will take a back seat this weekend, as McCoy hosts a charity basketball game at Neumann University on Saturday to raise money for Lou Gehrig's Disease which is dear to his heart. McCoy's grandmother lost her battle with ALS a few years ago

"I know my grandma is smiling that 'my grandson is doing so much and he doesn't have to.' I think the Lord has blessed me with talent and a gift, a gift to give back," McCoy said.

Michael Vick, Desean Jackson and Allen Iverson are among the celebrities expected to attend. McCoy is hoping to take on AI on the court.
