As Ray Rice still remains the center of media attention after video surfaced of him punching his wife Janay in an Atlantic City casino, the former Ravens running back gained new social media support in NBA star Paul George.
George first tweeted the following messages from his account early morning September 11th.
George went on to tweet the following messages below, explaining his views on domestic abuse. The tweets have since been deleted, but have been captured here by the @Talk_NBA_ account on Twitter.
However after receiving backlash for his comments on Ray Rice and domestic violence, George offered the following apology.
Rice was recently terminated from the Baltimore Ravens and indefinitely suspended by the NFL after video was released of him punching his wife in an elevator. The NFL has hired former FBI Director Robert Mueller to investigate the league's handling of the Rice investigation after reports surfaced that police did send a copy of the Rice video to NFL league offices back in April.
