Analysts weigh in on the LeSean McCoy trade.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- LeSean McCoy will reportedly be shipped to Buffalo for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

The deal can't be completed until Tuesday afternoon, at the earliest so we have nearly a week to digest, dissect, praise or criticize this bold move.

McCoy is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher.

He has rushed for nearly 3,000 yards the past two seasons combined.

The move does save the Eagles a lot of money under the salary cap.

We spoke to two former Eagles today, Ron Jaworski and Mike Quick. They say it's all business.

"I think initially, like everyone else, I was shocked at the trade, but then when you really sit back and think about it- what are they going to get? What's going to happen going forward? I know that in Chip Kelly's mind, he has the big picture on what he wants and what he wants to do," Quick said.

"Now, the business of football comes into play, so when you really scrub this down, I'm not really all that surprised by it. My initial reaction was I was surprised, but when I thought it through, it's one of those business decisions where you have to go with the younger guy at that position," Jaworski said.
