PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As a kid who grew up in Philadelphia rooting for the team whose jersey he now wears, Rasheed Bailey fully understands the way this town embraces one of their own.

"This city is amazing. You really get to see this city from a whole different aspect. Growing up, it was a tough environment, going to Roxborough High School and stuff like that, but the love is so unreal. It's unconditional right now," Bailey said.

The Delaware Valley College product is also feeling the love from head coach Chip Kelly who doesn't get the sense that the kid is giddy just being here.

"I don't and I think that's a positive and he's not overwhelmed or overcome because he's playing in his hometown or playing for his favorite team growing up; I think he's really focused on what he has to do and that's improve on a constant basis," Kelly said.

To make this roster, Bailey says, "It would be a dream, but also my dream is to play in the NFL."

Which is why Bailey knows Thursday night means everything. It is a final chance to make this team and a final chance to put some good plays on film so another team can pick him up, if he doesn't.

"This is my opportunity. Every little kids' dream is to play in the NFL. I have no time to get caught in my emotions, no time to get caught in a moment. No, it's time go out there and play some football and I'm excited," Baily said.
