Kid golfer doesn't let disability slow him down
Despite being born one short arm, this three-year-old has a monster swing

MESQUITE, NV (WPVI) -- When three-year-old Tommy Morrissey gets tucked into bed at night, he's not clutching a teddy bear. He's got his golf gloves close at hand.

The young golfer was born with a shortened arm, which he has affectionately named 'Nemo,' after the fish born with a smaller fin in the Disney movie of the same name. But Tommy doesn't let his physical disability hold him back from the sport he loves. In fact, the preschooler, who's been playing since he was just 18 months old, has a swing envied by many.

More than 60 golfers with disabilities teed off at a long drive championship in Mesquite, Nevada.

Anthony Netto, with the Stand Up and Play Foundation, explained, "It's all about learning to carry on again, working with a disability. And I say it's the ability, not the disability."

Every athlete here is an inspiration to others, and probably better golfers too.

While Tommy is too young to compete, he enjoys being on the course for time together with his dad. And he doesn't let any extra attention faze him.

"He's just a little boy who likes to play golf."
