WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- A young boy from Delaware who is currently battling cancer for a second time received a very special message from Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.

Wentz sent huge Eagles fan 9-year-old Danny Feltwell this recording:

"What's up Danny? Carson Wentz here. Man, I've been hearing about you, I read about you. I heard you're a huge Eagles fan. I definitely want to thank you for your support. That means a ton for us. I know we have a bunch of young fans out there. That just gives us a lot of things to play for and it inspires us to play for. I just want you to know that when I'm out there playing, I'm playing for people like you. Also I just want you to know I'm praying for you. I'm praying for you. I'm wishing you the best. Thinking about you. I hope to see you at some more Eagles games and keep cheering us on. God bless you, bro."

The Birds invited Danny to last Saturday's playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons, but he had to watch the game from his hospital room because he was too sick.

Last week, law enforcement agencies joined the Wilmington community to lift Danny's spirits by organizing a parade that went right past his window at A.I. duPont Hospital.
