VIDEO: Uber driver
A college basketball star has quite the interesting side job.

He's the star center catapulting Xavier to March Madness greatness.

So you may be surprised to hear that when leading scorer Matt Stainbrook isn't driving to the hoop, he's driving an Uber.

"I thought I can't get a normal job, what else can I do?" Stainbrook said.

The college basketball superstar moonlights as a cab driver in Cincinnati swapping out adoring fans for fares, though sometimes the two overlap.

"I would say about one out of every two people that I drive recognizes me," Stainbrook said.

So why the unusual side-gig?

"My little brother is a walk-on on the team and I basically gave him my scholarship. So I have some student loans to cover," Stainbrook said.

It just may be the ultimate assist. Stainbrook convinced school officials to give his scholarship to his little brother Tim instead.

If a 6'10 powerhouse with a heart of gold isn't enough, Stainbrook is also a star scholar dreaming not of the NBA, but his MBA, now in his first year of business school.

"I kind of got the finance background so I wanted to be able to handle my own finances for a restaurant," Stainbrook said.

But make no mistake, with a Sweet 16 game against Arizona Thursday, he's hungry for that NCAA title too

Stainbrook is clearly driven to be more than just an on court success.

If Xavier wins tonight, it will be their first appearance in the Elite Eight since 2008.

They'll tip off against Arizona around 10:15 p.m.
