1 dead after 4-vehicle crash on I-95

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person was killed and five people were injured following a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes near the Broad Street entrance.

The highway was closed for four hours overnight before finally reopening.

The person killed has only been identified as a male.

An investigation into the cause of this crash continues.
