1 injured after pickup hits utility pole in Delaware

STANTON, Del. (WPVI) -- One person was injured after a pickup truck was involved in a crash, then hit a utility pole in Stanton, Delaware.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of West Newport Pike.

The pole was broken and wires were brought down in the crash.

The person injured was taken to Christiana Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.

Some 1,400 power customers lost electricity after the crash.

Power was restored about an hour later.
