VIDEO: SEPTA bus, truck collide in Montco
A SEPTA bus and a truck collided in Montgomery County.

Police say 21 people were injured when a SEPTA bus and a truck collided in Montgomery County.

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Route 611 (Old York Road) and Meetinghouse Road in Cheltenham Township.

SEPTA says the Route 55 bus traveling to Olney from the Willow Grove/Doylestown area was rear-ended by a Pepsi truck.

While most of the injuries were minor, the driver of the Pepsi truck was seriously hurt when his head hit the windshield.

Police say the truck driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

Passengers on the bus, along with the driver, were taken to various hospitals to be checked out for neck and back injuries.

Crews on the scene said it would take some time to clear the scene, because the engine of the bus - which sits at the back of the vehicle - was damaged in the crash.

The view from Chopper 6 and the Action Cam showed a number of medics on the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
