NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Four people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash involving a DART bus in New Castle, Delaware.

It happened at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of Route 273 at East Edinburgh Drive.

Police tell Action News a DART bus carrying 20 passengers was rear-ended by a pickup truck, which was then struck by a third vehicle.

Three people from the bus, including the driver, were hurt, as was the driver of the pickup truck.

There was no immediate word on the extent of their injuries.

Route 273 East was closed at East Edinburgh Drive as police investigated and crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles.
