4 injured when ambulance, car collide in New Castle County

HARES CORNER, Del. (WPVI) -- Several people were taken to the hospital for treatment after an ambulance, transporting a patient, collided with a car in New Castle County, Delaware.

It happened around 9:00 Saturday night on Route 13 at Route 273.

Authorities say an ambulance and a car collided.

The private ambulance was taking a child to A.I. DuPont Hospital at the time.

Four people, including the child in the ambulance, were taken to area hospitals for what's believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was treated at the scene.

No word what caused the vehicle to collide.
