Six people are recovering after a crash involving a school bus and a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Six people are recovering after a crash involving a school bus and a SEPTA bus in West Philadelphia.

It happened at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at 42nd Street and Fairmount Avenue.

Police tell Action News the school bus, which was carrying students at the time, backed into the SEPTA bus.

Images from the Chopper 6 HD showed two ambulances on the scene, along with several police cruisers and a fire truck.

SEPTA tells Action News 2 people on the SEPTA bus and 4 students on the school bus suffered injuries.

It was not immediately clear if those people were taken to area hospitals or if they were treated at the scene.

All the injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
