Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A bicyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lancaster Avenue and Rodman Street.

Police and medics arrived to find a person unconscious on the ground.

According to police, a driver who was making a turn, struck the 64-year-old male cyclist.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital.

The striking vehicle did remain at the scene.

Police are investigating the crash.
