A tractor-trailer hauling tangerines overturned in Gloucester County early Wednesday, blocking traffic on an busy exit ramp for hours.

HARRISON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A tractor-trailer hauling tangerines overturned in Gloucester County early Wednesday, blocking traffic on an busy exit ramp for more than two hours.

It happened at 5 a.m. Wednesday on a ramp from Route 55 North to westbound Route 322 in Harrison Township.

Police say the driver was not hurt.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed the trailer lying on its side.

Workers were transferring containers of tangerines to a flatbed truck.

Police say the fruit did not spill onto the roadway, but diesel fuel did.

Crews spread sand on the exit ramp and were working to clean up the spill.

There was no immediate word when the ramp would reopen.
