Black ice is being blamed for two separate crashes on I-95 in the Northeast Philadelphia early Saturday morning.

One crash happened around 4:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes just north of the Cottman Avenue exit.

The other crash occurred about the same time in the southbound lanes.

Police say the overnight freezing of the roads caused the crashes.
