Bridge connecting shore towns still closed

AVALON, N.J. -- A bridge closure down at the shore could be a headache this Memorial Day weekend.

The Townsend's Inlet Bridge that connects Sea Isle City and Avalon is still closed.

Workers hoped to have that bridge open by now, but the project is behind schedule.

That means drivers will have to go all the way out of town to either Route 9 or the Garden State Parkway to get from one town to the other.
