MILL CREEK, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities are trying to determine what caused a motorist to lose control of her vehicle and slam into a business in Mill Creek, Delaware.

It happened at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Midway Shopping Center in the 4700 block of Kirkwood Highway.

Police say no one was in the Music and Arts Store when the Mazda plowed through the front wall and ended up completely inside the business.

According to investigators the driver, 62-year-old Marie Betts, hit the gas instead of the brake and drove right through the front of Music and Arts.

She was briefly trapped and was freed by rescue crews.

Medics took her to Christiana Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

An investigation continues.
