DelDOT plow truck crashes in Newark

Police are on the scene of an accident involving a Delaware Department of Transportation plow truck in Newark.

The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at Route 72 near Reybold Road.

The truck was part of a plow train when drivers had to move over to make way for an ambulance heading in the opposite direction.

One of the plows then went off the roadway.

That driver is reported to be injured. There is no word on that person's condition.


The road was closed while police investigated, but has since reopened.
