Authorities say a delivery truck slammed into the kitchen of a house in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities say a delivery truck slammed into the kitchen of a house in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. Saturday on the 600 block of Stiles Avenue.

According to police, the driver in a flatbed lost control of the truck while exiting Route 73.

The driver told police the traffic light turned yellow when he was going through the intersection and his vehicle crashed into another vehicle.

Authorities say a delivery truck slammed into the kitchen of a house in Maple Shade, New Jersey.

Police say the truck was carrying steel, and the driver says the weight of the steel prevented his vehicle from stopping fast enough, causing the truck to crash into the house.

The impact of the crash knocked the house off its foundation.

A woman was in the kitchen at the time of the crash, but was not injured.

The driver was not injured in the crash.

Police are investigating.
