Driver flees after crashing into pole in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a driver fled the scene after crashing in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 1 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Master Street.

It appears the driver lost control before slamming into a pole.

Officers and medics responded to the scene, but the driver was gone.

The crash is under investigation.
