Driver freed in truck crash on NE Extension SB at Lansdale

LANSDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A truck crash closed the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension (I-476) at Lansdale, Pa.

The crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Towamencin Township over Valley Forge Road.

The driver of the truck was trapped in the wreckage for close to two hours. He was freed around 6:30 p.m. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital in an unknown condition.

The lane reopened around 8:30 p.m.
