Driver killed in Vineland crash ID'd

VINELAND, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the driver killed in a crash in Vineland, New Jersey.

The victim is identified was 41-year-old Brian Hardy.

A passing motorist called police just before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday on the 1400 block of Elm Road but police believe the accident actually occurred much earlier.

Investigators say it appears that Hardy was speeding when he lost control and his vehicle hit a pole.

Hardy was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
