NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Two motorists are recovering from a head-on crash in Newark, Delaware.
It happened at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday on East Main Street near the Deer Park Tavern.
Authorities say a 44-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Dodge Durango, travelling east.
At the intersection police say the driver missed a turn and went into oncoming one-way traffic.
That's when the Durango collided head-on with a Toyota Prius.
The drivers of both vehicles were extricated and taken to Christiana Hospital.
The driver of the Durango was treated and released while the driver of the Prius, a 66-year-old man, was listed in serious condition.
A police investigation is underway.
